RSA Design Directions Awards 2007/08, 'Inclusive Worlds' Shortlisted
Purpose: to create an inclusively designed world by providing a service that is desirable, effective, more enjoyable and economically mainstream through innovative design.
'Confidence_' is a safe, reliable and comfortable bus travel experience. The service and design has been specifically tailored to suit the needs of deaf, blind and partially-sighted travellers.
The design solution for a self-service ticket dispenser and coloured wristbands specific to each bus route would prove a convenient ‘access pass’, comparable to the London Underground’s ‘Oyster card’.
