The Specials

Gained an opportunity to shadow the brand identity project for SKA revival band, 'The Specials' comeback. Whilst on my design placement at De Facto Design, the focus was to refresh the identity and maintain the typographic style that was used circa-1970 to aid clarity and recognition amongst their loyal fans. I designed and tailored the typeface below.

Developments of the project included the identity, motif for merchandising t-shirts, badges illustration and pitch work for the website.

The illustration of the band members would be used for promotion and online applications. It is in the process of being produced as a screen print.
